Visiting Us

The Silly Sheep Fibre Co. is based on the Westside of mainland Shetland & our workshop is open to visitors.

 Travelling by car - we are on the A971 the main road into Walls, look out for the yellow cottage & you will see us on the right before you head down the hill into the village.

We have some parking spaces on the drive, however, if you are towing or have a motorhome there is a large layby on the left just after you pass us, it will make your onward trip much more straightforward.

Travelling by bus - We are on the main bus route for Walls. Service 9 leaves Lerwick at frequent intervals Mon-Sat, ask the driver to stop at " The Punds"  and they will drop you at the end of our drive. You can also be picked up from here as well although it is only a  short walk down into the village to the main bus stop if you want to explore or visit the village shop.

Travelling with dogs - you are welcome to bring your pet with you, we are dog friendly. However, we are a working croft & have sheep. free-ranging hens and ducks & ground-nesting birds so all dogs MUST be on a lead. If you would like to walk the croft you are very welcome but we would prefer that dogs are left with us at the workshop.
